Excalibur, the legendary sword of King Arthur, is a symbol of the fortitude of the public relations profession in Western New York. In order to celebrate and commemorate the triumphs of the programs, projects and people that strengthen and sharpen our profession, the Buffalo/ Niagara Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) created the Excalibur Awards competition in 1989 and it has become an annual tradition.

Each year, the program culminates with the annual Excalibur Awards Dinner, at which the region’s best of the best are honored.

Special honor awards are also accepted throughout the year.  Do you have a colleague who you consider an outstanding practitioner?  Nominate him or her for the chapter's highest honor.  Does your boss provide you with the support you need to help attain  your PR goals?  Consider him or her for the Outstanding Executive award.  Or, if you know an exceptional practitioner with less than five years of experience, perhaps he or she would make a good Rising Star.  Send in your special honor nomination today!
